2. proof of income and go to https://neworks.nebraska.gov/vosnet/Default.aspx
3. Under the “Job seekers” tab, click unemployment
4. click login, and then follow instructions to set up your account.

You will want to claim as an individual and the website will ask for your employers for the last 18 months, social security number, the reason for leaving your job, and other identifying information. You have 21 days from time of filing for unemployment to submit your proof of income. If your employer is not providing the information, you can use a w-2 or a copy of your pay stubs to show your proof of income.

If I am self-employed, do I still qualify for unemployment?

Yes! The federal CARES ACT created unemployment benefits for those who are self-employed, independent contractors, and those who do not have much work history.
